Chromatic Echoes Pavilion

Chromatic Echoes Pavilion is conceived as a cultural installation that reinterprets Saudi heritage through light, color, and contemporary construction. Drawing inspiration from the woven geometries of traditional Al-Sadu textiles, the project translates patterns of Bedouin craftsmanship into a spatial and atmospheric experience.

The pavilion is composed of a structural frame interwoven with colored glass panels that filter natural light. During the day, sunlight passes through the layered surfaces to generate a dynamic interplay of color and shadow, evoking the tactile richness of woven fabric. As evening falls, the structure transforms into a luminous lantern along the Tharwa waterfront, radiating warmth and becoming a symbolic beacon of memory and identity.

Positioned as a social and cultural catalyst, the pavilion bridges tradition and innovation. It invites visitors to inhabit a contemporary reinterpretation of the Bedouin tent — not woven from textile, but from light, transparency, and structure — creating a space where heritage is experienced as living, evolving, and communal.
